Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Klassiker und Theorierichtungen, Note: 1,3, Technische Universität Dresden (für Soziologie), Veranstaltung: Eine „störende und verstörende Wissenschaft“ – Pierre Bourdieus Verständnis der Soziologie, 18 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Spätestens seit den 1970er Jahren, in denen eine Reihe so genannter Schwedenfilme die Kinokassen Europas zum klingeln brachten, ist die filmische Darstellung von Sex nicht nur leinwandfähig geworden, sondern aus dem Film gar nicht mehr wegzudenken. Längst gehören Skandale um Nacktheit und Lust der Vergangenheit an. Ein Film ist nicht gleich ein Porno, nur weil die Protagonisten des Öfteren mehr oder weniger verhüllt Geschlechtsverkehr haben, wie zum Beispiel in „Basic Instinct“ (R: Paul Verhoeven, USA 1991) oder „9 ½ Weeks“ (R: Adrian Lyne, USA 1986). Und doch: der Bann, mit dem Sex als Darstellungstabu belegt wurde, ist noch nicht gebrochen. Nicht ganz.
Welche Kriterien führen dazu, dass ein Film einen Skandal auslöst, Hass schürt oder Ekel erregt? Auf Grund welcher Kriterien wird ein Film von Kritikern in den höchsten Tönen gelobt und welche Filme erhalten eine gute Resonanz vom Publikum? Alles eine Frage des Geschmacks? Um diesen und verwandten Fragen auf den Grund zu gehen, werde ich mich auf Texte von Pierre Bourdieu stützen; dabei insbesondere auf „die feinen Unterschiede“. Ziel ist es zu zeigen, warum Detailaufnahmen von sexuellen Handlungen in einem Arthouse-Film für wenig Glückliche manchmal gar keine Pornographie sind und warum solche Darstellungen für viele Unzufriedene es eben doch sind.
