Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Philosophie - Philosophie des 19. Jahrhunderts, Note: 1,3, Freie Universität Berlin, Veranstaltung: Kapital-Lektüre, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die vorliegende Arbeit befasst sich mit dem “Kapital“ von Karl Marx. Genauer genommen sollen zwei durchaus elementare Begriffe dieses wirkmächtigen Werkes näher untersucht werden: zum einen der Begriff des Mehrwerts und zum anderen der eng mit diesem verknüpfte Begriff des Profits.
Marx hat sich zeitlebens mit der Analyse und dem Erfassen der gegenwärtigen Funktionsweise und Struktur sowie der notwendigen Entwicklung der kapitalistischen Gesellschaft beschäftigt, wobei das “Kapital“ das zentrale Werk dieser Anstrengungen darstellt. Nur auf der Grundlage einer solchen Analyse war es Marx möglich, die Widersprüche des gegenwärtigen Wirtschafts- und (des darauf sich gründenden) Gesellschaftssystems herauszuarbeiten. Er wies den „kontradiktorischen oder antagonistischen Charakter der kapitalistischen Gesellschaft“ nach. Das im Folgenden behandelte Phänomen des Mehrwerts bildet in dieser Theorie einen Schlüsselbegriff. Warum es sich so verhält, das soll hier (mit Rücksicht auf die der Kürze des Textes geschuldeten “groben“ Darstellung) aufgezeigt werden. Zudem soll eine Differenzierung zwischen den von „sämtlichen Ökonomen“ fälschlicherweise gleichgesetzten Begriffen des Mehrwerts und des Profits erfolgen. Zunächst geht der erste Abschnitt näher auf die Mehrwerttheorie Marx´ ein. Der Begriff des Mehrwerts wird erläutert und seine Entstehung dargestellt.
Im zweiten Kapitel soll herausgearbeitet werden, welche Bedeutung der Mehrwert in Marx Theorie des Kapitalismus hat, zunächst in rein wirtschaftlicher, dann in gesamtgesellschaftlicher Hinsicht.
Anschließend beschäftigt sich das dritte Kapitel mit dem Phänomen des Profits. Dessen Zusammenhang mit dem Phänomen des Mehrwerts, aber auch die Differenz der beiden Begriffe, sollen geklärt werden.
Zum Schluss erfolgen eine kurze Zusammenfassung und einige allgemeine Bemerkungen zu den behandelten Begriffen.
